NINE HOUSES AT KINTORE
Brief
To provide an aesthetically pleasing masonry walling unit which
will meet the aesthetic and structural needs of this type of
housing application and empathy in appearance to reclaimed stone of
the area.
Solution
Fyfestone wet pressed masonry in a bagged rubbed tumbled finish
was chosen as the superior aspects of high strength, high density
and very low porosity will ensure the whole life performance
benefit. The bag rubbing of the mortar joints achieved the desired
effect of a reclaimed stone look.
