COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURE

The Enviromasonry range is manufactured on modern automated plants and produced from specially selected secondary recycled aggregates. Replacement cement is also incorporated to minimise environmental impact, whilst maintaining quality throughout.

Fyfestone is a member of both the British Precast Concrete Federation and the Concrete Block Association.

All Fyfestone products are manufactured under the quality procedures of BS EN ISO 9001 2000. The high level of quality control exercised at all stages of production ensures compliance with BS EN 771-3 (formerly BS 6073: Part 1).

The blocks also satisfy the special category requirements as laid down in BS 5628: Part 1 and in BS 6073: Part 2.

BREEAM

The BRE’s Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) is a scheme for the environmental labelling of buildings. The basis of the scheme is the measurement of a building’s performance against a set of defined environmental criteria.

One of the aims of BREEAM is to encourage the use of materials that have lower impact on the environment. Credits are awarded for selecting high performance specifications for key building elements using the Green Guide to Specification for walls, floors, roofs and windows. Selection of A-rated specifications allow specifiers to gain maximum Credits.
